The 6 Domains of Health

Medical researchers, psychologists, philosophers and many insightful people have long debated what defines health and human flourishing. But in our evidence-based era, we do not need to debate what promotes health anymore.

By studying what factors protect or injure the biological functioning of the human body, we uncover which factors are indeed health promoting or health damaging. Scientific study defines six domains that promote or damage our health. Physical health is only one of these domains. The others include the quality of our thoughts, emotions, social connections, pursuit of meaning, and navigation of stress.

Those factors which protect our health also promote vitality—a pleasurable inner sense of feeling energetic. This website is dedicated to teaching you how to flourish in each of the six domains of health and vitality.
